Psalm 2:7–8 (NKJV)
7 “I will declare the 7decree:
The Lord has said to Me,
f‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.
8 Ask of Me, and I will give You
The nations for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for Your possession.1
John 5:19–20 (NKJV)
Equality with God in Power
19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, mthe Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. 20 For nthe Father loves the Son, and oshows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. 2
John 5:30 (NKJV)
30 cI can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because dI do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.3
John 8:28–29 (NKJV)
28 Then Jesus said to them, “When you flift 4up the Son of Man, gthen you will know that I am He, and hthat I do nothing of Myself; but ias My Father taught Me, I speak these things. 29 And jHe who sent Me is with Me. kThe Father has not left Me alone, lfor I always do those things that please Him.” 4
Isaiah 50:4–5 (NKJV)
4 “The gLord God has given Me
The tongue of the learned,
That I should know how to speak
A word in season to him who is hweary.
He awakens Me morning by morning,
He awakens My ear
To hear as the learned.
5 The Lord God ihas opened My ear;
And I was not jrebellious,
Nor did I turn away.5
John 12:49–50 (NKJV)
49 For fI have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, gwhat I should say and what I should speak. 50 And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I hspeak.”6
Luke 9:35 (NKJV)
35 And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, e“This is 5My beloved Son. fHear Him!” 7
John 5:26–27 (NKJV)
26 For vas the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have wlife in Himself, 27 and xhas given Him authority to execute judgment also, ybecause He is the Son of Man. 8
Secrets to Gaining Acceleration in Life
• Be confident in knowing that God will speak to you, about you.
• Jesus only did what He saw His Father do. Before you can do the Father’s work assignment for you, see Him doing it in you and through you.
• Jesus only looked to do the will of God in His life for which He was sent. Yielding your will to God’s will is like adding an accelerant to fire.
• Jesus only spoke what God taught Him to speak. Bridling your tongue to talk like God talks will direct your life in pleasant paths.
• Jesus made it the emphasis of His life to do what pleased God. Faith pleases God. The just shall not just learn about faith, or talk about faith, or use faith every now and then. Faith is a lifestyle to live daily.
• Jesus only operated in the authority He was given. Humility will keep you within the bounds of your authority. Humility will also invite promotion. Operating in the authority God has given you will result in promotion in the kingdom of God.
• Jesus lived in humility witnessed by the statements: “The Son can do nothing of Himself. I can of Myself do nothing. I do nothing of Myself I have not spoken on My own authority.” Being ever mindful of the Lord’s help is one of the most obvious, and perhaps most neglected secret of acceleration from what God speaks.
1. The way to steal something special meant for you to experience is by crushing your personal value.
2. “The way to kill something special is to compare it to something else.” Craig Groeschel
3. The way to destroy something special is to condemn yourself for where you are or aren’t.
John 10:10 (NKJV)
10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.9
Genesis 13:14–15 (NKJV)
14 And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot vhad separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are—wnorthward, southward, eastward, and westward; 15 for all the land which you see xI give to you and yyour 3descendants forever. 10
Genesis 13:16–17 (NKJV)
16 And zI will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered. 17 Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.”11
